Interviewing Skills for Auditors
This course will provide knowledge, skills, strategies, and techniques to conduct successful audit interviews. This workshop will include interview simulations followed by videotaped feedback. At the end of this course, participants will be able to: • Know the different types of interviews held in the Office. • Use the interview as a key component to the audit process. • Plan the interview to get the information required. • Apply different types of probing questions and interview styles to get information required. • Demonstrate the opening, questioning, and closing phases of the interview. • Create a positive environment which promotes the exchange of information; and • Demonstrate reliable and appropriate note taking during the interview.


Introduction to Data and Information Systems
This data bite provides an overview of concepts involved in the collection, recording, transformation, storage and dissemination of data and information. The intent is to provide the participant with a basic level understanding of these concepts to help identify and request data of interest.

Introduction to PROxI
The Office of the Auditor General of Canada (OAG) views information as a valuable asset that supports audit activities and operational needs. At the OAG, PROxI is the main electronic repository for all OAG corporate records. All OAG employees must take this course to learn how to properly create, collect, store, protect, share, and document activities and decisions and preserve information with historical value.
